Fancy a fascinating trip without leaving Paris? The Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle invites you to explore the most extreme environments of our planet with its new temporary exhibition: ""Déserts"". A sensory and scientific dive into the heart of arid, hot or icy lands, to better understand their incredible biodiversity and the climate issues that pass through them.
Until November 30, 2025, the exhibition ""Deserts"" is held in the majestic Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, located at 57 Rue Cuvier, Paris 5e. This immersive journey reveals nearly 200 naturalized specimens, objects, videos and interactive devices that allow discovering how plants, animals and humans adapt to extreme conditions. Visitors are also invited to contemplate eight paintings by the painter Silvère Jarrosson, inspired by these spectacular landscapes, exhibited in the Whale Hall until 24 November.
The exhibition is open every day except Tuesday, from 10 am to 6 pm (last entry at 5:15 pm). The rates are 16 € in full rate and 13 € in reduced rate, including access to permanent exhibitions.
From the Hotel 15 Montparnasse, the exhibition is easily accessible. You just have to walk to the Duroc station, take line 10 towards Gare d'Austerlitz and get off at Jussieu. A short walk through the Jardin des Plantes leads directly to the gallery. The journey takes about 25 minutes. You can also opt for bus 91, which directly connects Montparnasse to the entrance of the Jardin.
A unique experience not to be missed, between wonder, science and art.
